A Heartfelt Congratulations to Danni Kendrick on Her New Role

Danni Kendrick, who has been a dedicated Kitchen Assistant with us for many years, is stepping into a new role as our Volunteer & Client Engagement Specialist. The longest-standing member of the Coal Creek Meals on Wheels team, Danni has been an integral part of our organization, ensuring our kitchen runs smoothly and our clients receive nutritious meals. She knows the dietary restrictions of our clients by heart, and her commitment and passion for our mission have been evident in every task she undertakes. This transition marks a significant milestone in her journey with us, reflecting her growth and the deep connection she has with our community.

The connection between Danni and our organization is deep-rooted. I am very proud of what our organization does and how we are helping anybody in need get access to food so that they can worry less about the stresses of life,” Danni said.

Danni grew up in Lafayette and has lived here for her entire life, only leaving for college at California State, Monterey Bay. In high school, Danni used to ride along with her mom on delivery routes. Her family’s close connection to our cause is a testament to the values they hold dear and the impact they have made on our community.

Danni’s experience in the kitchen and her understanding of our clients’ and volunteers’ needs make her an ideal fit for her new role. As we celebrate this transition, we look forward to the positive changes and new initiatives that Danni will bring to our organization. “I am most looking forward to cultivating deeper connections with our lovely volunteers,” she says. Her journey from Kitchen Assistant to Volunteer & Client Engagement Specialist is a shining example of growth, dedication, and the power of community.

Please join us in congratulating Danni on her new role and in thanking her for her continued commitment to our mission! We are excited to see all the wonderful contributions she will make in this next chapter of her journey with us.

Luna Collins, our current Volunteer Coordinator, will be transitioning into the role of Community Engagement Manager. She will be focused on building community partnerships and strategic marketing efforts for Coal Creek Meals on Wheels.
